INITIAL FOUNDING OF REGIONAL BIBLE INSTITUTE
Regional Bible Institute was founded as a small, local Bible training center for young people from Mexico. It was envisioned that this would be a place to receive basic biblical and theological education before returning to Mexico to do the work of the Lord in Missions and Evangelism. The Bible Institute has now progressed and enlarged its vision and focus to include several continents and nations.
REGIONAL CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY
Through visionary guidance, and the direction of the Holy Spirit, Dr. Hoyte has successfully taken the fledgling school through the process of its first self-study covering the 22 Conditions of Eligibility for accreditation with the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE), obtaining Applicant Status in February of 2015. The Institution's name was then changed to Regional Bible College, and work started towards fulfilling the 11 Standards for accreditation. The President was able to secure the professional assistance of librarian, Dr. Julie McPhail, who assisted in bringing our academic library up to par for the Team visit in 2018. We were also grateful for the expert assistance of Dr. Don Simmons who joined our staff in 2018 to help us work through the Self-Study leading up to the Team Visit. By God's grace, our combined efforts culminated in the achievement of Candidate Status for accreditation in February 2020. At that time, the name once again changed to Regional Christian University in order to more adequately reflect the growth in vision and purpose, as well as the growth in development of several colleges of different disciplines.
ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS
Dr. Hoyte has successfully negotiated Articulation Agreements with several accredited colleges and universities, including Shiloh University from whom, a $1 Million donation of its entire academic library and shelving was received in 2018. We thank God for His continued grace and provision.
INITIAL ACCREDITATION
Regional Christian University is now completing its last step towards initial accreditation, and will spend the next several months developing its final Self-Study before the Team Visit in 2023. We are trusting the Lord to make this a great success, and covet the prayers of all who read this. God bless you.
