· Accepted the Lord Jesus Christ at age 8 and became faithful member of local Assembly of God Church (pastored by my father) in Georgetown, Guyana 

· Attended elementary and secondary schools in Georgetown, Guyana

· Became member of Campbellville Baptist Church, (established and pastored by my father, Rev. Byron F. Hoyte), Campbellville, Georgetown, Guyana

· Attended local University of Guyana, Turkeyen, Guyana

· Attended Guyana Baptist Theological Institute, Georgetown, Guyana

· Licensed to preach, Campbellville Baptist Church, 1974

· Moved to Louisville, Kentucky, to pursue theological studies in 1976
